Inspiration: I never liked how my Zoisite costume turned out, mostly because my hair wasn't the right colour or cut. Unfortunately, I still love the Dark Kingdom.
Favorite Aspect: He's a Dark Kingdom Shiten'ou! Everything that was yellow turned to gold: amber earrings, gold piping, sparkly glass beads and metallic thread embroidery on the eppaullettes. The button's decorated face shows through a clear resin jewel. Credit to Mike at FantasyProps.com for those jewels. It's so coool and shiiiny.
Least Favorite Aspect: I never found the right shade of piping, so I made my own. Even worse, the machine decided that it doesn't like to make piping, so I had to sew the four bloomin' yards by hand. I kinda forgot to put in piping on the shoulders until after I finished lining the jacket, too.
Easiest Task: Pants. Mostly seams, and hemming, with a zipper for measure. A twistie around each ankle makes them fit into the boots well enough.
Hardest Task: Oh hell. Forgot to sew in the underside buttons (for holding the jacket in place) before-hand, too, and had to work without touching the lining. Bloody hand-jobs.
