Inspiration: I had wanted to do this costume for a while, but never did just because it was so similar to the Urd costume I'd done in 2002. About a month before A-Kon 2004 I came across a site that had lots of pics of her, and decided I *had* to do it for A-Kon! Favorite Aspect: The wig - it's two of my white wigs put together, with a third wig making the "fan" of hair on the top. I made the yellow hair ornaments for A-Kon and put them on the wig, but didn't really like them, so I took them off (left pic). I put them back on for later conventions. Least Favorite Aspect: The SHOES - oh my god, the most painful shoes I've *ever* worn. Easiest Task: Making all the streamers. Hardest Task: The straps on the fronts/side - at the time I didn't have my dressform so it was hard to make a pattern for them. |
