Inspiration: I want to go to A-Kon 16 as one of the Hellsing vampires. My two favorite vampires are Alucard (because he kicks ass) and Jan (because he's hilarious.) I'm too lazy to put together an Alucard costume, plus lots of people have coplayed him already, so... Jan!

Favorite Aspect: The contacts and the jewelry. Everyone was asking me if the peircings were real (they weren't.) Also being able to give the finger in just about every picture and have it be in character.

Least Favorite Aspect: The wig itched like nothing else. The contacts actually weren't too bad; I just had to put eye drops in every so often and they were fine.

Easiest Task: Finding everything I needed.

Hardest Task: Two of the peircings (the anti-eyebrow and the left nose ring) had to be glued one with spirit gum. They stayed put... once I managed to get them on. (To see a close-up of my face, go here: http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-6/1024442/Jan02.jpg ).

My friend's mom made the pants and jacket for me, since I can't really sew. Another friend of mine made the hat for me as a birthday present (I was veeery happy.) The jewelry and gloves and everything else, I just bought. I even managed to get some yellow contacts. I also bought fangs, but ended up not wearing them because between them and the lip rings it was impossible to talk. The only part I actually made myself was his soda bottle (I peeled the label off a Coke bottle and painted it.)
