Hacking Member Profiles

Because the nature of online communities is susceptible to the ill-intentions of hackers, Cosplay Lab has a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy when dealing with such individuals. If you have been identified as someone who has logged in using someone else's name and password without their consent, you are guilty of falsifying your identity and can face civil and criminal charges. If you are found tampering with another member's profile your membership may be terminated without notice and any donations you have made will not be returned.

Changing Your Password

When choosing your password, don't be dumb and use a word that appears on your profile page. Remember, it should be hard to guess, but easy to remember. While most of us here are all friends, there is always a risk that someone might try to hack their way in for the fun of it. So be smart and don't use the same password you use for your bank, or email account.

You Are What You Upload

In the essence of keeping the Cosplay Lab family-friendly, for all to enjoy, please censor any questionable content you may post here. Only post pictures of your costumes that keep the spirit of costuming alive, rather than put a question-mark on your judgment. Cosplay Lab exists to promote Costuming in general, with an emphasis on Anime-related characters. There are many message boards that link to costume profiles here, so use that as an opportunity to showcase your best work. Acceptable costumes genres include Anime, Japanese Video Game Characters, J-Rock Artists. Star Wars, Sci-Fi, and other fantasy-type characters are tolerable provided the costume doesn't look like you made it in 5 minutes. Store-bought Halloween costumes, etc are not welcome here, nor are things that clearly are off-topic and just plain dumb based on member's general concensus. Please refer to the official costume posting rules.

Your Costume Isn't 100% complete

Until you've uploaded the completed picture, your costume should not be considered 100% complete. A sketch does not count as a completed picture. Just wait until you have a good photo to upload before changing the completion status. No one wants to see a 100% complete costume with just a sketch or reference image. Any sketch images that appear on a 100% completed costume may be deleted without warning.

Updating Your Profile

By continuing to be a member in good standing with the Cosplay Lab, you agree to keep your contact information updated. Most importantly we need your email address to be current. Falsifying your email address, city, or other profile info may result in your account and your costume collection being deleted without notification.

Privacy Policy and Fair Use

Any information we collect about you will not be sold to anyone for any reason. We encourage you to communicate freely with each other in a manner that promotes Cosplay and Anime in general. By uploading photos of your costumes, you understand that they may be used to promote this site in both online and print advertising without any compensation, or credit to you. Please respect the rights of those portrayed on this site. Do not post links from our site to any site with the intent to ridicule members or their costume.
