I married my DM...finally found someone that loved all this nerdy stuff as much as I do! This is his profile as much as it is mine, I guess. I do all the sewing, and he helps on the props. He is my commissioned guy.
We both love Dragonlance and would love to get costumes of the whole lot of them.
We're huge Star Wars, LOTR, Willow, Pirates of the Carribean, X-Men, (most any other superhero, sci-fi, or fantasy movie goes here), and Harry Potter fans.
As far as novels go, I'm a long time lover of WOT, Shannara, Pern, Dragonlance, LOTR, and Harry Potter as well as many of the Star Wars novels.
Video games take up a lot of our time...pretty much any rpg gets rave reviews from our direction: Final Fantasy (all numbers except X-2), KOTOR, KOTOR II, Suikoden, Zelda, WOW. Many hack-n-slash titles such as DnD Heroes, Gauntlet, and Castlevania are also appreciated. Did I forget to mention Guitar Hero and RockBand? Oh yeah.
Anime movies and series favs include Wolf's Rain, Witch Hunter Robin, Record of Lodoss War, Kiki's Delivery Service, Nausicaa, Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke, Grave of the Fireflies, 7 Samurai, and other anime staples...and does anybody remember Pirates of Dark Water?...Twas a good show, that one. I'm not really sure what took us so long to get into Fullmetal Alchemist...but it's one of the best shows ever created in our opinions.
We also enjoy medieval fairs, decor, and costumes.
