Inspiration: I really, really love Haku's character, as do the rest of the Narutards in this world. ^-^ His was one of the most tragic and touching stories in the whole series. And it's a really easy costume to boot! =p
I actually made this one for school, for International Day. I had to sit at the Anime Club's booth to draw, and so Haku was the perfect costume to make. It has a definite Japanese cultural look and is a character from an Anime series, so there! Two birdies with one stone. =D
These are the manga colors, which I thought were a little brighter than those in the anime. However, I do plan to re-do this costume in the anime colors some day. I feel that they're much more Haku's "signature" colors, and plus there are many inaccuracies that I would like to correct the second time around.
Favorite Aspect: I really liked wearing sandals. As I would walk around, I'd think, I'm so glad that I don't have to worry about tripping over big heels or having chunks fall off of my shoes. Shoes are just... difficult. I don't understand people who can make their shoes from scratch and not have them fall off during the con -- how do they do it?! X___X
Least Favorite Aspect: It was a little hot to wear this. x_x; Luckily I was inside a hotel, though, so it wasn't a big issue. Still!
Easiest Task: The little circly bun thing fabric mabobber. =D
Hardest Task: I was a little nervous when making the mask. I actually messed up a bit on the eyes, but some black paint took care of that and it looks just fine now. It can only be held up to my face, though -- it can't be worn.
