Inspiration: During the summer of 2005, I went to Norfolk, VA, to visit some friends of mine. While I was there, I went to the Sanrio store in the MacArthur Center mall, and found this plushie. Naturally, since I love to use the word "angst" and the dress was purple, it had to find its way home with me. Later I thought "hey, that would make a cool cosplay!" so here it is. The dress is from a modified Simplicity pattern. It's made from purple satin, black bridal lace, and black satin ribbon. The ears are made from batting on a lavender ribbon. The leotard and white skating tights are from Danskin. The gloves were bought at Claire's. The petticoat is a store-bought slip with three layers of black tulle. The shoes are Candie's brand, but I don't think they make them anymore, sadly. Face paint was basic yellow and white from the party store near me. Last but not least, the eyeliner was Estee Lauder, thanks to my wonderful aunt who gets free gifts.

Favorite Aspect: All the purple is so pretty! And the petticoat was actually fairly comfortable with the skating tights on. I recommend them to anyone who needs opaque form-fitting colored legs.

Least Favorite Aspect: Gloves. They got in the way. Oh, and the face paint...next time, I want to use some better-quality stuff, or at least learn how to apply it first. >< Jeez, my eyes look red...@_@ And the waist is too big and makes me look faaat.

Easiest Task: Shoes. Already had them. Simple.

Hardest Task: Getting it all together, then after that was done, putting on the face paint. I had to redo it halfway through the day. Bleh.
