Inspiration: I always wanted to make a Star Wars costume and when I couldnt get Leia done I decided to do this one instead. I love all of Padme's costumes but this really seemed to be the one that I always favored. Its simple and she kicks ass in it, enough said!
Favorite Aspect: The boots and the shin guards, the most time consuming part of this costume. I am so pleased with the final product, I really think they make the costume stand out. Honestly I never really noticed that Padme wears them and they are actually off-white like the belt.
Least Favorite Aspect: The shall I have is way too short, I may end up looking for something else to use that is the right length.
Easiest Task: The armbands are made from those foam sheets, as well as the pouches for the belt. For the pouches I covered them in the proper color felt and painted the arm bands with a metallic sivler paint.
Hardest Task: The shin guards for sure >_< I made them out of foamie sheets and probably spent about 5 hours just working on them alone. It was really hard to see all the angles of them in different pictures and figure out how I should make them look. But in the end I am very happy with them.
