Inspiration: This outfit of Kenshin is so beautiful that when I saw it I knew I had to make it.
Least Favorite Aspect: I took these pictures in a park in Virginia. It was about 90 degrees out that day. It was rediculously "warm"...~
The photoshoot was actally a rush photoshoot as well so I had to style the wig in the car and get -changed- in the car (augh,, that was,,, annoying)
Hardest Task: All the handsewn trim (all the red triangular shapes you see~ and the dark marroon stripes on the hakama) was really time consuming. As well as trying to get all the stripes/appliques on the hakama exactly the same as Kenshin's with the same distance in between each stripe.
All the trim on this costume was handsewn (even the dark maroon appliques). I drafted the patterns for the Hakama and both Haoris as well. The zori were painted and the straps were attached by me. The only thing bought was the Katana and my Tabi socks. The wig was styled by a friend and I.
