Inspiration: I'd been wanting to do a Moi dix Mois costume, but found them all too masculine (for Mana, at least) until I saw this one in the interview on Go's VCD. Perfect.
I had a horrible time finding refrence photos for it, though. In the photo above I used two screencaps from the VCD and one live photo that I managed to find. I used two other photos of Mana for make-up refrence.
Favorite Aspect: The make-up worked out almost perfectly, I was so happy with the brand of white-face I ended up using. Also, through sheer fluke I aquired a cross almost exactly like the Moi dix Mois cross. ^_^
Least Favorite Aspect: The fact that my hair fell. ;_; I wanted big spikey hair of Doom... instead it ended up being clumpy...
Easiest Task: The overskirt was pretty easy, though I want to re-make it for Sakuracon 2004, because I was strapped for $$ and didn't buy enough material to make it full enough at the bottom.
Hardest Task: The damn hair. It is IMPOSSIBLE to buy wigs like this, I ended up buying two, ripping one apart and sewing the wefts from it into the second wig to get it 'full' enough. Then I applied about half a can of industrial-stregnth hairspray to get it into spikes - which were unfortunately squished on the 3 day bus ride to the con. *sobs*
