Inspiration: I love Re-l's character development throughout the series and her outfit, so I've wanted to cosplay her for a while. Photo credit goes to ryuuraigeki~
Favorite Aspect: The darker color scheme. I've been making costumes with bright colors for a while, but I really like darker outfits.
Least Favorite Aspect: The fabric I used is stretch dancewear. It looks (mostly) matte in person, and in outdoor photos with natural light (no flash, like the above photo). However, in photos taken with flash the fabric looks cheap, shiny, and in appropriate for the costume. It was really disappointing to realize this.
Easiest Task: The black overcoat (er, the long sleeveless thing, whatever it is).
Hardest Task: Getting the purples/greys/blacks to coordinate. When I first saw the series I thought the costume was all black/greyscale, but it turned out only her sleeveless jacket thing was black. Dyeing all the fabric to the colors I wanted was a pain in the neck.
