Chrono Cosplay

Category: Anime

Completed: 100%

Cost: $ US110

Hours to Make: 20-40

First worn at: MTAC 2006

Inspiration: I love Chrono so much! He's such an adorable little devil. My lil sis and I wanted to do Rosette and Chrono because they are just a totally kick-ass duo! Plus, Greg Ayres was at MTAC, so, how could I NOT do it?

Favorite Aspect: Everything...well almost. This is my most comfy costume, and I totally adore it! And the ammunition box! Oh my God, my step-mom kicks so much ass! Also, all the fangirls and fanboys that asked if they could take pictures and hug us! That totally made my day. It's awesome to hear someone say, "Wow, you look just like him!" then they squee and hug you! XD Also, Greg Ayres...just his presence is totally freakin' awesome! When me and my sister, Setsuna Revolution (on CosplayLab), went outside to get some air, I happened to look over, and low and behold, there he is...We tip-toed behind him and tapped him on his shoulder and when he turned around, he jumped back and started screaming, "Oh my God! You guys look awesome! You're the best Chrono and Rosette I've seen." And when he signed my Saiyuki poster, he put right above Goku's head, "To April: You're the best Chrono EVER!!!" <3

Least Favorite Aspect: My suspenders kept coming undone. And unless I wore socks, my shoes would come off. When I found them in Wal-Mart, I got too excited and didn't check the size...they ended up being a size too big. Oops. XD

Easiest Task: Ordering the wig, leg warmers, and finding the shoes.

Hardest Task: Trying to figure out how to make the ammo box stable enough to put a phone on it, and keeping my wig from messing up (rabid fangirls kept pulling it)!

Oh Lord, that jacket...I wish I would've taken pictures of myself while I was trying to figure out how to make each of the little V-shaped point thingies. It would have been hilarious to see myself holding a V-shaped piece of cardboard up to my butt while asking my grandma if she thought it was long enough. XD

Retiring him. I love this costume to death. It's one of my absolute favorites, but since 2006, some pieces have been lost, thanks to someone whom shall remain nameless.... Since she decided to leave the shoes in the hotel when I let her borrow this costume, and since I don't have the tights anymore, I've decided to put him away... =( Another reason is because of my Rosette and Azmaria. My Rosette (setsuna revolution) lost quite a bit of weight, so she doesn't quite fill the costume anymore. My Azmaria (Slippy) doesn't have a wig for her costume anymore. Plus, the dress itself is in horrible condition...and due to her hitting puberty, it doesn't fit at all anymore, either.

Awards:
