Inspiration: My favorite character from the series.
There's going to be a v2.0, bondo over the plastic, proper straps to hold everything in place, wig fixed up, then taken to either Katsu 13 or Balticon or something to be judged again.
Favorite Aspect: Just plain cool. It's been a while since I've seen a Samurai Shodown cosplayer. Had I not screwed up Lust, they would have shared the same boots.
Apparently the stitching on the dress and sash/scarf impressed the judges (but then again, they didn't see what happens to the lining around the armholes. They only saw that it was lined all the way down, and that the materials matched.)
As a side effect, when I wore this costume at Tekkoshocon, I ran into Tiffany Grant (for which I had Satella planned later that weekend. Turns out Charlotte from the SS movie was her first role. Interesting!
Least Favorite Aspect: The armor's built kinda funny so it digs into my armpits. The weapon is so badly balanced that no sheath can hold it. You can see every single seam in the armor too, which makes me very unhappy.... (And it got me killed at hall cosplay.)
Easiest Task: Sewing the dress and sash/scarf.
Hardest Task: Figuring out what happens to the sash/scarf once it goes up into the armor. Oh, and the armor itself.
