Cameko Flash!

This area of the Lab is where you can learn how to improve your cosplay picture taking techniques, expand your posing style, and find out who some of the top camekos are in the United States. Camekos are cosplay photographers whose mission is to elevate cosplay to a true artform by capturing the essence of costuming fandom. Your passion has become their passion and it is what has helped take anime fandom to new levels. They were gracious enough to answer our grueling battery of questions, so please enjoy this section and be sure to thank them the next time you see them at a convention. Additional cameko profiles will be added from time to time, so check back every now and then.

Kevin Lillard - A Fan's View creator and photographer, Kevin brings his experience as a race car photographer to the fast-paced world of cosplay. Whether you're striking a pose, or strutting across the stage, he's sure to have at least three shots of you. In addition to thousands of cosplay photos from anime conventions, his extensive web site features personalities of the week, making it a true asset to fans from around the world. Thanks Kevin for doing a great job documenting cosplay from every angle.

Super No.1 - Hailing from California and a regular at Anime Expo, Super No.1 masterfully makes use of a shallow depth of field to add interest to his cosplay photos. Not only does his technique reduce background noise, but it also helps make the costumes pop off the screen. Awesome photos, or should I say they're SUPER!.

Lionel Lum - Usagi-chan Search and Rescue is your source for anime convention reports and cosplayer photos that date back to the end of the 20th century.

Robert from Consplayers.com - When it comes to knowing a thing or two about cosplay, Robert (aka Pikmin Link's dad), has the scoop. Not only is he a master prop maker, but also a prominent cameko. His focus is capturing cosplay like only a studio photographer can - with class.
